Mort was my first Discworld novel, which I absolutely loved.
My mistake regarding Discworld came afterwards, when I got the bright idea to try reading the rest in chronological order. However, the Colour of Magic was before Pratchett really had a good feel for what he was attempting to achieve with the Discworld series, and thus I couldn't remain interested enough to keep going.
Maybe later, someday.
